Week 20 Review

All of us here at LetsGoDeep.com and the All-American Home Run Derby would like to congratulate AllofNothin on winning the 3rd Quarter prize of $250 and 4 tickets to an MLB game!

Our 2nd Quarter winner, Dilldocks, holds onto the 2nd spot with #1Philsfan, whoppers and Mr. Papa Georgio rounding out the Top 5.

Now begins the race to the Grand Prize!

Our player breakdown is as follows…

20 players with 25+ HR

23 players with 18-24 HR

30 players with 10-17 HR

12 players with 5-9 HR

9 players with less than 5 HR

Ryan Howard leads the Majors and our game with 33 homeruns, while the new Diamondback, Adam Dunn, remains at 32 homeruns.

Twenty-eight is a popular number as 6 players sit at that total.  Prince Fielder, Adrian Gonzalez, Jermaine Dye, Josh Hamilton and Pat Burrell have a chance to add to those totals, but Carlos Lee does not.

Alex Rodriguez continues to be a model of consistency with 27 homeruns on the year, while Albert Pujols and Manny Ramirez each have 26 HR.

Carlos Pena has been on fire as of late and now has 24 homeruns, while teammate Evan Longoria will be stuck on 22 for quite a while.

Home Run Champ Justin Morneau has 18 homeruns, as do Corey Hart, Ian Kinsler and J.J. Hardy.

Joey Votto returns this week and hopes to add to his 14 homeruns, but Mike Lowell (14 HR) and Justin Upton (11 HR) remain on the disabled list.

Alex Rios (9 HR) and Jimmy Rollins (8 HR) haven’t been able to get on track this year and their totals have suffered.  Delmon Young started off very slow, but is beginning to show the power that the Twins had hoped for and he now has 7 homeruns on the season.

Out of the 9 players with less than 5 homeruns, I’ll give an injury pass to 6 of them.  Of the remaining 3, one has been in the minors most of the year and one hasn’t taken a single swing.  That just leaves Andruw Jones and his 3 homeruns.  Ouch.
