Week 25 Review

AllorNothin is eyeing the prize and Dilldocks has just one week left to take that grand prize away.  Is 9 homeruns too much to overcome?  In my opinion, yes but stranger things have happened.

The real race is for the 3rd and final money spot.  Take it Deep 2008 has the inside track with 420 HR.  #1Philsfan and whoppers are each just 3 homeruns back and Hawkeyes#1 is 5 HR out of the money.

Our pool player breakdown is as follows…

35 players with 25+ HR

28 players with 17-24 HR

14 players with 10-16 HR

17 players with less than 10 HR

Ryan Howard now has 46 HR and is running away with the race.  Adam Dunn seems to be in the midst of a major power outage and is in a distant 2nd with 38 homeruns.  His streak of 3 straight 40 HR seasons may be in jeopardy.

Carlos Delgado has 37 HR thus far and would love to power the Mets into the playoffs with a 40-homerun season.  Miguel Cabrera needs 4 this week to reach 40 for the year.

Albert Pujols needs one more for 35 on the season and Prince Fielder, Jim Thome and Grady Sizemore each need 2.

Hunter Pence, JJ Hardy, Vladimir Guerrero and Nick Swisher are one swing away from recording a 25-homerun year.  Raul Ibanez, Adam LaRoche and HR Derby Champ Justin Morneau each need 2 more homeruns.

 Image

Derrek Lee and Bobby Abreu need 1 more homerun for 20 HR seasons.

Justin Upton needs one more long ball to reach 15 homeruns for the year.  It wasn’t the break out season that he’d hoped for, but he’ll be a superstar for years to come.

Delmon Young and Kosuke Fukudome each need another big fly to hit double digits.

Unless something major happens, Josh Fields will end the year without a homerun, joining Barry Bonds at the bottom of the list.
