Official Rules for The 2009 All American Home Run Derby Contest Game Play: Online Entry Fee: Only $25.00 Per Entry For The Entire 2009 MLB Regular Season! Mail In Entry Fee: Only $30.00 Per Entry For The Entire 2009 MLB Season! All Mail In Entries Must Be Received At Our Office By April 1st, 2009! Pick 16 MLB Players from 4 group lists that we created for the 2009 MLB season. Pick 1 Player from the A List, 5 Players from the B List, 5 Players from the C List & 5 Players from the D List. Each player on your home run derby team will be awarded 1 point for every home run they hit during the entire 2009 MLB regular season (16 MLB Players On A Home Run Derby Team). Contestants will be ranked from the highest amount of Home Runs hit to the lowest during the length of each contest throughout the 2009 MLB season (4 contests total during the regular season). All contestants picks are FINAL and can’t be adjusted or modified once they’re submitted online (No exception to this rule). Tie Breakers: Each contestant is REQUIRED to enter in a tie breaker number (total amount of Home Runs that you think YOUR team will hit during the regular 2009 MLB season) to determine any tie (s) at the end of the 2009 MLB regular season (Example: 403 Total Home Runs). The contestant’s team with the most actual total Home Runs that are closest to their predicted number of Home Runs will be the winner and used to break the tie. The Under Number trumps the over number in case there’s a 1 point difference between the actual home run total & predicted home run total (For Example: 2 Teams hit 421 Home Runs at the end of the season and one tie breaker is 420 & the other is 422. The team with 420 would win because they predicted under the actual total). In the event that people are still tied after the regular season and they have the same tie breaker number. We will look to see which team had the most home runs at the end of the 2nd quarter (7/13/2009: All Star Break) Contestants that are still tied after those 3 tie breaking scenarios will then be required to evenly split the Grand Prize money amongst yourselves. Quarterly Prize Tiebreakers: Contestants that are tied at the end of a quarterly prize session will evenly split the Betus.Com Free Play Bonus that they’re giving away for that quarter. Sign Up Deadline: All selections must be made before 10:59 A.M. CST April 10th, 2009. The All American Home Run Derby will not allow any more sign ups for our regular season game once this time has expired.
